COMPANY HISTORY
soundworks was founded in august, 1996 by stephen scott in honolulu, hawaii.
he wanted to start a company that could provide special
entertainment
for any occasion. people always remember the day they
got married,
or the summer they graduated from high school. music can
be a powerful
reminder of those times, bringing the memories back to life.
soundworks was started to be a part of those
memories.
we were
lucky enough to perform at a large number of weddings,
a few graduation
parties, high school dances, class reunions,
christmas parties, and the bridal fashion show at the 1998 hawaii bridal
expo.
stephen and another professional dj, chris seii managed the
company,
with the help of chris's brother jes, and stephen's friends frankie
and garin.

soundworks was disbanded for a few years, as stephen moved to kansas city in
2001.
he provided music for his neighborhood block party three years
in a row
and programmed the music for his own wedding reception.
positive feedback
from these events along with encouragement from his
friends, helped stephen
and his wife some decide to get back into music professionally in 2005.
this new
version of Soundworks still has the same purpose, to provide
special musical memories for people. we can set up our
equipment indoors
or outdoors (weather providing) and are ready to go wherever
you need us.
